The Aubreyad Press Gang, also known as the APG, is a book club founded with one specific goal: to read through the entire Aubrey/Maturin series, one chapter at a time. It received its name due to the merciless recruitment tactics I was forced to employ to get my coworkers and friends to join! It was for their own good, however. We read the chapters more or less together and then discuss them in the APG section of The Dear Surprise Forums. People sometimes fall behind or drift away, but the discussion questions are never closed and discussion even in old topics is highly encouraged 
If you’re interested in reading this amazing series with a crew of like-minded fellows, please join our epic adventure! It doesn’t matter if you’ve never read a single Aubrey/Maturin novel or you’ve read them all a hundred times (each), we’re happy to have you aboard. To join, just register for the forums and then follow these further instructions to become an official APG member. It is possible to be a member of the forums without joining the APG. Everyone can read the APG’s discussions, but only official APG members can post.

I just found this site through a link from a tumblr post on the article ‘The Real Stephen Maturin’ and I was going to go join your forum but whenever I click on either the link to the forum or the link to the instructions on becoming a member I get a page that says:

There’s just no keeping up with them, it was too much to handle. I’m looking for a more secure program to run a forum on now, hopefully I’ll have some luck…
I’m on my fourth run through the Aubreyad. I and a few friends also meet locally in Brooklyn for POB nights – lots of grog, music and lobscouse. Looking forward to the conversation…
